Check list Before You Buy an LCD TV

LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) is a thin and flat electronic visual display has taken over the market in all countries as this technology is both eye catching and beautiful. But as they say choosing one out of hundreds of models of LCD TV in the market is quiet a big deal, but not to worry by the end of this article you would have a good idea about what is LCD TV, REFURBISHED LCD, TFT-LCD etc.

Let me first give you a brief introduction about what LCD TV is. Well we can define it like “LCD is an electronically-modulated optical device shaped into a thin, flat panel made up of color or monochrome pixels filled with liquid crystals.”, whereas a TFT-LCD Film Transistor Liquid Crystal Display) is just a variant of LCD which uses thin-film technology to improve image quality.  Refurbished LCD Monitors are those LCD monitors which have just a bit of problem in them so are rejected, completely repaired and then brought back into the market.

What to check when buying an LCD-TV?
1.
Contrast ratio of your LCD-TV: -     One of the most difficult but important thing to understand is contrast ratio. It is the difference between the brightest white and the darkest black the LCD-TV screen can produce. A 1000:1 or higher contrast ratio would be a good choice.

2.   Size of your LCD-TV:-Well the first and obvious thing to be considered before buying an LCD-TV is what should be the ideal size of TV you need. The feel of watching a mounted LCD-TV in a shop and actually watching it in your house has a lot of difference. So do remember to measure before you buy.

3.   Refreshing time of the LCD TV: -    In common language this can be explained as the time taken by the LCD-TV to switch from one type of image to another like from dark to bright or from a less colored one to a high contrast color one. And remember: More the refreshing rate, better and crisper the images.

4.  Formats supported by the LCD TV:-You should do a detailed check about what kind of formats your LCD-TV support does or it might be a bad deal if the TV in spite of being the latest one does not support your format of videos or inputs. You should also check what kind of input sockets or ports are provided in it so that you can connect it directly to your camera or Playstation.

5.  Refurbished LCD Monitors:-Well not to worry if you want to go for a Refurbished LCD Monitor if you have a good discount and warranty with it.

6.   Some basic tips:-You should also go for a good outer design. Do check the warranty of the LCD-TV, check if it has a good stand or not. Ask about the maintenance charges. And browse online stores as well to get the best deals for LCDs.
