LCD TFT Monitors: Your Guide To The Best Deal

LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) monitor is one of the most revolutionary invention for a strain free electronic display. Since ages mankind has proved to be the best and most superior over all other living beings because of his innovative and experimenting nature. Every now and then we come across some new technical advancement made by and for the people for their entertainment. Talking of entertainment how can we forget about television, as it is the most important medium of entertainment for each and everyone today! Now it has become a basic need and hence we have moved forward from the box type monitors to the LCD. You might think how is liquid related to display, well that’s because it does not emit light directly rather uses liquid crystals and its light modulating properties.

LCD has completely taken over Cathode Ray Monitors as everyone would prefer to buy a cheap LCD monitor which is more compact, light, portable and doesn’t cause much strain to eyes.  The advancement still followed it and we have the advanced version of LCD as TFT-LCD (Thin Film Transistor Liquid Crystal Display). Well the TFT-LCD  is just a variant of LCD which uses thin-film  technology to improve image quality. TFT LCDs are used in TV, Computer Monitors, Cell Phones, gaming systems, PDA, Navigation Systems and many more.

As every invention even LCD faced problems as some of them had defective transistors, which caused permanent lit or unlit pixels known as stuck or dead pixels respectively. But it is said that LCDs with these problems are usually stable and ok for use as it was claimed to be economically hard for a company or manufacturer to reject the piece for a small fault, hence most of them were brought back to the market as refurbished LCD Monitors. So when going to buy an LCD monitor do not hesitate if it’s a refurbished one unless it has a warranty coverage. At a point SAMSUNG LCDs were preferred in Korea as it followed a ZERO Tolerance Policy where as other companies ignored up to 11 dead pixels in their policies. Well not to worry now as the new TFT-LCD monitors have overcome this problem. The TFT LCD monitor is also preferable as the liquid crystals used inside them is non-toxic with a improved picture quality. Another big reason for demand of TFT and LCD is its portability even with large output. Portable LCDs more than 42 inches with high resolutions are also available in the market.

While buying an electronic display just thinking about going for a Cheap LCD monitor, TFT-LCD TV or Refurbished LCD won’t work. There are some basic things you should follow:-

1.       First choose between LCD, TFT-LCD, or Refurbished which one you want to buy.

2. Decide the size of LCD which would be perfect with you and then go for the aspect ratio, refreshing time of monitor((the faster refreshing rate the crisper image), compatibility(in case of computer systems).

3. Now do consider the viewing angle of an LCD- Monitor as per your requirement. Check out what kind of connectivity it has and what kind of stands it provides.

4. Then go for rates and the warranty provided by the company. Do not panic if it’s a refurbished-LCD as it’s not a problem unless it has a warranty and a good discount.
